The Mammy Handbook launched!

It was a very busy evening in Mc Elhinney’s with the launch of the Mammy Handbook written by  Evelyn Mc Glynn  (Donegal Mammy) and Meg O Gara (Megneficent Creative) It was also their Feel for Fashion night!

The book is a very interesting read written by mothers all over the world and compiled by the two ladies.

It’s an inspirational book celebrating mothers of all ages, all stages, from new-born to empty nest and everything in between. Mums from Ireland, Utah, West Virginia, NYC, Ethiopia, Cyprus, and Australia in fact all over the world have contributed their top tips and advice.

Their personal, sentimental and sometimes funny top tips and nuggets of wisdom will help the reader ditch the mammy guilt and believe what amazing mums they really are.

Meg and Evelyn are well suited at putting the book together. They claim no expert knowledge of the motherhood experience but do have 35 years’ experience between them.
Meg’s background in Psychology & Autism and career in mental health and special needs, plus 2 children under 3 (and another new arrival due in 2020) and Evelyn, a qualified Life Coach, Donegal Mammy blogger and mum to 3 adult children who have all flown the coop.

There was a great turn out for the launch, even the boss man John McElhinney made an appearance. Yes Chef Catering kept us sweet with some lovely tray bakes on the night.

The book is for sale on www.themammyhandbook.com or in Mc Elhinney’s. Well done girls.
