‘The Father Browne Bar’ launched at Lough Eske Castle!

The Father Browne Bar was well and truly blessed with over 100 guests who gathered for the official launch last night at Lough Eske Castle Hotel.

General Manager Donal Cox, Lisa Marshall, Sales & Marketing Director and Cousin Sinead McGowan, Sales & Events Manager  were there to welcome all the guests to the new bar, based downstairs in the Castle.

Donal Cox said a few words explaining the name of the bar giving a detailed account the connection between Father Browne,  Titanic in Belfast and Lough Eske Castle which is owned by Donegal man Pat Doherty

There was some great spot prizes on the night, spa vouchers, Sunday lunch vouchers and an overnight voucher in one of their newly decorated bedrooms.

Father Browne is generally considered to be one of Ireland’s most important photographer of the 20th century.

Over 200 of the greatest images taken by the extraordinary Father ‘Titanic’ Browne have been remastered and are displayed around the walls in the bar.

You can also enjoy some food from the menu, sit back, relax surrounded by the collection of black and white photos.

Ernan and Mary McGettigan along with Marie McCalliog got a warm reception when they arrived into the bar on their way back from Kilkenny with the Best Foodie town in Ireland 2019, accompanied with the prize plaque and plate. Well done to them.

We were served some beautiful food last night, burgers, chicken, fish and chips and trifle, a nice way to end of a most enjoyable night.

The bar will open 7 days a week from 4pm with live music from Thursday right through until Sunday.
