There’s no stopping this local entrepreneur Peter Blake who is well known throughout the county. He started Peadar Jims Property Maintenance in 2014 and is going from strength to strength. He cleans the interior and exterior of commercial and domestic properties.
He won the Letterkenny Chamber Best Start up Award 2016. He also won Best National overall Business at the Micro Business Awards in April 2017 in Waterford.
Initially Peter started off knocking on doors for 6 months around his native Letterkenny with a ladder on his shoulder looking for work. On Dec 1st he was approved by the Donegal Enterprise Board and the rest is history!
From January 2018 Peter started taking photos on his mobile phone of his dog Rascal (the best known dog in Letterkenny) From there he continues to capture outside the box photos which are proving very popular with the public. He has now set up his own photography FB page. His photo ‘Sunset Reflections’ will be shown on 3e at 7.55pm this evening (Wednesday)
A few weeks ago Glenveagh National Park got in touch with Peter looking for his prints. They are for sale in the Gift shop and restaurant in Glenveagh and to this day his mobile phone is his camera.
This man has no need for a high powered camera or any courses! He uses his creative mind, flair and has a natural eye and raw talent.
