Neil McGettigan launches his Recruitment Agency, ‘M Recruitment’

Neil McGettigan has launched his Recruitment Agency, (M Recruitment) specialising in Hospitality & Private Household Staff in Ireland,  UK and The Middle East. Neil is very proud of his Donegal roots and is the son of well-known Hotelier Jim and Patsy McGettigan, (Kilmacrennan) and resides in Dublin with his wife Edel and children.

I have known Neil for many years now and I can describe him as a real gentleman and wish him the best of luck in his new venture.

Neil studied Hotel Management at Birmingham University and worked in the family business for over 20 years in Dublin and Wexford.

From a commis chef in the kitchen right up to General Manager and everything in between qualified in the knowledge and understanding of the business.  In recruitment 3 years and this coupled with his hotel experience is the ideal recipe for representing candidates and clients.

Neil said ‘It’s a brave time to try something like this but I like a challenge.  Since launching my business the support, feedback and good will from former candidates, former colleagues, my peers in the recruitment/hotel business and clients has been phenomenal.  Business is about building strong a lasting relationships.  The hospitality industry has taken a big blow but I believe that the domestic staycation with be strong this year and everyone needs to get behind this. I will be taking my own family to Donegal for a few days over the summer and cannot think of a more special place to show my young family.

Hotels and Guesthouses will be offering great value breaks and the spin off to restaurants, tourist attractions in the local economy will be good as a result.  It will really pick up properly when the sky’s open up fully.  The Irish domestic market accounts for about 40% or the overall occupancy in hotels across the country, so we rely on the balance from our international visitors.  The sooner we get an antibody and a vaccine the sooner the economy opens back up properly.  I am very happy and looking forward to assisting my colleagues in the hospitality industry – both clients and candidate alike. Carpe Diem’. he concluded.
