McElhinney’s host National Heritage week and Michael Kors has arrived!

It was all go in McElhinney’s today. First was the launch of National Heritage week with a fabulous display of old photos and the arrival of Michael Kors footwear and a great selection of  handbags.

To celebrate National Heritage Week, McElhinney’s have partnered with the Ballybofey, Stranorlar & District Historical Society to host a 3-Day Photographic Exhibition, ‘Sharing Stories, History Retold’ which started today Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th August.

The display in-store showcases the Twin Towns and surrounding area, including Ballybofey, Stranorlar, Cloghan, Crossroads, Killygordon and Convoy.

See the changes that have shaped our towns, some more dramatically than others. There are some big houses, some small ones, railway stations, streetscapes, rural landscapes, bridges and much, much more.

The official launch took place earlier today at 12pm with a great buzz in the store. There was free tea, coffee and scones, along with plenty old photographs to reminisce over!

Members of the Ballybofey, Stranorlar & District Historical Society were in attendance, and will be in-store from 12-3pm each day of the exhibition!
The display can be found on the 1st Floor Foyer, with stairs, escalator and a lift available to access the exhibition. It will remain in store from 23rd – 25th August from 12-3 each day so be sure to get in-store to see these amazing photographs and maybe even share your story!
