St Mary’s NS and Parents Committee hosted a Ladies night in Kee’s Hotel last night. This was part of the school’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
This was a great night of fun, fashion and comedy. Unfortunately there was a small crowd which was disappointing and anyone who knows anything about fashion shows will appreciate how much work goes into them. Just a pity they didn’t get the support they deserved.
Six models including myself were styled by Richard from McElhinney’s who talked through the model’s outfits and the trends are for next season. Natasha also from McElhinney’s did the makeups and talked us through the latest makeup trends and what she used on each model.
Angela Gallinagh was chosen by her colleagues at the school for a complete make over. She was again styled by Richard, makeup applied by Natasha and had her hair styled by Nikki McCullagh from Farrah’s Hairdressing. Angela just looked amazing.
Sandra Devenney did compere for the evening, no bother to our Sandra, a real pro.
Guests were treated to a glass of prosecco on arrival followed by tasty treats and of course some of the St. Mary’s NS birthday cake made by the talented Kellies Cakes. Kellie’s baked goodies available from Andie’s supermarket.
Gerry McLaughlin provided the music and our own Conal Gallen who gave up his time to entertain the crowd, was the icing on the cake.
Well done to all the ladies from St. Mary’s National School and Parents Association for putting on a most enjoyable evening and not forgetting the sponsors!
