Congratulations to Clare McNickle from Clare Clothing who is celebrating 20 years in business today. Stocking a lot of premier Irish brands like Peruzzi, Naya and a beautiful selection of smart casual wear ranging from sizes 8 to 18 not forgetting the popular perfect fitting Garduer trousers. Unfortunately due to the current situation the celebrations are on hold for the moment.
Clare opened her own boutique in 2000 where she started off on the Port Road in Letterkenny and was fortunate to get wonderful support from family and friends. She worked in retail at a very young age in the iconic Austin’s in Derry where she was an assistant buyer in ladies fashions for a few years.
After opening on the Port Road she then moved to Academy Court 2003 and in 2016 to Forte Retail Park (beside Sandwich Company).
Over the years Clare has supported many charities showcasing her collections at many charity Fashion shows and indeed has also been a great support to me attending my charity Balls.
Clare has been getting hundreds of messages today from people and would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes.
At Clare Clothing, the ethos is more about personal service, honesty in style advice. Unfortunately in the current situation means her business along with other retailers are closed until further notice.
Claire said ‘I’m so lucky to be working in an industry l love and feel passionate about, we all need days to ourselves where we try on Clothing that gives us that feeling about being our own person and our own style, we try to provide that in my shop. I look forward to getting back to work where will have lots of discounts’ she concluded.
Wishing you many more years in business.
