Congratulations, Katie,  the Donegal Rose, 2022!

Congratulations to Katie McAteer, who was announced as the Donegal Rose 2022 at the selection in the Abbey Hotel last night. Katie was sponsored by Drumhallagh House in Rathmullan and was accompanied by her family.

The 2019 Donegal Rose Chloe Kennedy who has been an amazing ambassador for the Rose of Tralee and for Donegal for the last 3 years was there to hand over her sash to Katie. As always to R McCullagh Jewellers who sponsored the jewellery for the Roses.

It was great to see Steve Cronly from the Rose of Tralee who made the journey for the event. Steve said a few words before making his way to the Monaghan selection.

Well done to the four Rosebuds, Muireann, Sarah, Eliza and Isobel who also did a great job. They also picked the best dressed on the night.

These events need escorts and who better than Mr KIA Colton Friel and Gareth Ball to lead the Roses to and from the stage.

The judges on the night was Rory O’Donnell,  Ali Logue & Catherine Lagan. Thanks to Rory’s Auto Spares for the Rosebud Gifts.

Well done to the fabulous compere Ollie Turner from Galway Bay FM who was so entertaining and went down great with the crowd.

Thanks to Grace Vaughan for all her assistance and to DJ Stephen Doherty. The night would not be possible without the lady herself Elaine McInaw who co-ordinated the event with such professionalism as always.

Finally to all the finalists who took part on the night, well done to you all.
