The management and team of Central Hotel in Donegal Town were delighted to showcase their new dining concept Central Alfresco overlooking Donegal Bay last night. I did the honours and cut the ribbon to officially launch the Central Alfresco.
Providing unquestionably the best and most peaceful vantage point of Donegal Bay, Central Alfresco is the idyllic spot to enjoy sublime food, cocktails, wine and beer watching the tide slip away.
Terrace tasters were carefully selected to tantalise the palette. A thoughtful beverage menu has been worked to couple their great food.
Alfresco at the Central is kitted out with heated lamps , fairy lights above the sheltered alcoves, should rain make an appearance.
As Donegal has been noted #coolestplaceontheplanet, this has to be the #coolest outdoor dining experience concept in Donegal.
With our beautiful County in sight, the management keep the pride of Donegal throughout the theme. Kinnegar beer and Silkies whiskey locally made is on offer to enjoy as well as Magee of Donegal tweed blankets to keep you warm as evenings get cooler.
Most importantly, the wonderful service team to look after you from 12.30pm to 9.30pm each evening.

It was great to meet up with Claire O Reilly from the Nesbitt Arms Hotel in Ardara who is getting younger looking every time I see her.
