Congratulations to 23-year-old Primary School teacher Aoife O Sullivan from Cork who was crowned Miss Ireland last night in the Helix Theatre representing ‘Miss So Amazing’.
Over 200 guests enjoyed dinner and a night of entertainment. Thirty ladies participated in the contest.
This year marked the 71st Miss Ireland competition. Donegal was well represented last night with Sophie Devlin and Rebekah Coyle who made it into the final 8.
Brendan Marc Scully, Miss Ireland Boss & Creative Director was compere for the night along with his glamorous assistant Aoife Walsh.
Former Miss Ireland, Rosanna Davison was one of the judges 15 years after she won and went on to victory becoming Miss World. Suzanne Jackson was also one of the judges and sponsors.
Miss Ireland 2017 Lauren McDonagh handed over her title at the end of the night crowning the new Miss Ireland Aoife.
It was then time for the after party back in McGettigan’s Bar at the Bonnington Dublin Hotel who were part sponsors of the event.
Many of the Miss Ireland contestants and judges came back to join in on the After Party and were welcomed with a prosecco reception.
Thanks to Catherine McGettigan who was one of the judges for inviting me along to capture the event, giving me a suite for the night in the Bonnington Dublin Hotel.
Aoife will go forward to represent Ireland in the Miss World final in China in December.
Lauren you did us proud during your year as Miss Ireland, best wishes to you for the future. It was great to catch up with your mum Ann, the craic was good!
