It has been an eventful and an exciting week for Claire and Roy Graham from Eventful Weddings who won at The Irish Wedding Awards 2019 ‘Event Decorator of the year’ in Dublin. They won the Stationery supplier of the year award in 2017 and 2018 and this year the Event Decorator award which is some going. The couple who are based in Ramelton are absolutely thrilled with their award and all their hard work has paid off.
I would personally like to say a huge thanks to Claire and Roy who have very kindly offered to decorate the Shellbridge Suite in the Clanree Hotel for my ball on 23rd March free of charge, you don’t get much better than that and I can’t wait now to see it.
Their business was formed 11 years ago after they made their own wedding Invitations, they then expanded into room decor but the demand for their wedding stationery grew and grew and with Claire’s keen eye for design and trends and Roy’s ability to place them all together. The business is very much a team effort.
Claire is chiefly in charge of the managing, sales, marketing and Design, with Roy in charge also of design, print, manufacture and fittings. They also help in the design stages and come up with new unique designs constantly. Roy’s sister is also an excellent Artist who studied Illustration at Falmouth University, so for any customized drawing’s required we hire her in to complete this element of the Design.
Their stationary ranges from save the date cards, wedding invitations, ceremony booklets, personalised church candles bespoke table plans, unique guest books to thank you cards and we can theme all these the same to suit the couples taste and budget.
The room Décor consists of draping, lighting, blossom trees, unique handcrafted pieces, including cake swings and welcome signs and bespoke table plans. As a married couple in business together, weddings and wedding couples still excite them, that is why they are so passionate about their business.
‘When we meet couples in our showroom, we thrive off their buzz of wedding fever. It keeps us excited about fulling them with emotion when they open their parcel with their wedding stationery inside looking amazing –a lot of couples say it makes it all seem real at that point!! What we strive most for in our business is customer satisfaction, many wedding companies say to us that “the worst thing about weddings is that there is no repeat business”, we find the opposite.
Their Facebook reviews can clearly see from their 5-star rating that customers again and again have received quality in both our workmanship and our customer care and know they can count on them to deliver.
‘Over the last few years we have been specialising in room draping, backdrops entrance tunnels signs etc. but we have noticed a real demand for that next “unique new thing” so for 2018 we created a bespoke cake swing designed and built in our studio exactly as we wanted it- we knew it was going to be the next “in thing” so we were careful to make ours very unique so it would be hard to replicate! It is a great success and couples went mad for it, so we followed it up with an acrylic Table plan that has the same style of stand as the swing and this has proved equally as popular and we also have a unique entrance sign that adds into a lovely trio package’ they concluded.
