I visited Jacksons Hotel last week to check out their new bedrooms and feature the hotel in general. Firstly I met with Antoinette Coyle, the new Operations Manager who is doing great and has settled in well to her new position. Leona Cronolly Sales & Marketing Manager brought me on a tour of the hotel including their beautiful new bedrooms overlooking the River Finn and Drumboe woods. This hotel offers Donegal at its finest.
Owned and managed by the Gallen Family since 2017 and having undergone a major refurbishment programme -over the past two years this impressive hotel boasts over 120 bedrooms, 22 metre swimming pool & leisure facilities together with beautifully landscaped walled gardens.
The hotel facilities include a suite of conference and meeting rooms. This together with their central location within the county makes Jackson’s the ideal location to do business in the northwest. When partnered with sister property the Villa Rose Hotel & Spa, they can cater for 175 bedrooms in total, ideal for large group conferences and overnight events. I was so impressed with the hotel and it was my first time to see the bedrooms. The Honeymoon suite is fabulous with a free standing bath in the middle of the room.
Weddings at Jackson’s are always a special affair with the beautiful surroundings of the Finn Suite Ballroom featuring a river view balcony and sweeping staircase. To arrange a viewing simply contact the hotel directly to meet with one of the team 074 9131021.
No visit to Jackson’s Hotel is complete without a trip to the Thirsty Trout – Donegal’s newest traditional Irish whiskey bar. If you haven’t been to Jackson’s recently then a visit is a must. There is always a fantastic atmosphere in Jackson’s and always something new on the horizon. Thanks to Antoinette and Leona for showing me around and as always the craic was good!
This week see’s the launch of their new menu in Fara’s bar while October and November feature a wide variety of live music events ahead of the busy Christmas party season. You can find out more about the newly refurbished Jackson’s Hotel on www.jacksonshotel.ie
