A visit to McGettigan’s Townhouse, Queen St, Dublin.

After spending a night in the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin recently, I decided to go along and check out their sister hotel, McGettigan’s Townhouse in Queen Street, located in a fantastic location within 500 m of National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History.

This quirky Bar with eleven non-smoking bedrooms upstairs are all tastefully decorated with each room having its own character, named after the McGettigan family.

The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a kettle, a shower, a hairdryer, desk, wi-fi, wardrobe and a private bathroom. They offer a continental or A la carte breakfast served in the downstairs bar.

The Townhouse is close to several well-known attractions, 1.2 km from Guinness Storehouse, 1.2 km from Dublin Castle and 1.3 km from Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Guests can enjoy city views.

Popular points of interest near the accommodation include St. Michan’s Church, Jameson Distillery and The City Hall. Dublin Airport is just 12 km from McGettigan’s Townhouse with the Luas is just outside the door.

James McGettigan is kindly offering a special Donegal rate of €90 quote ‘Gabrielle’s Diary’ when booking to avail. (subject to availability) Call the Bonnongton Hotel to book 01 8373544

Myself with the main man James McGettigan in McGettigan’s Twonhouse in Queen Street in Dublin when I visited recently.
