A trip to the Dome to support the Donegal Rose Chloe Kennedy!

What a night at the Dome in Tralee last night for the annual Rose Ball. Myself and my road trip partner Elaine McInaw made the journey yesterday morning to Tralee and came back again last night!!

Elaine is the Donegal co-ordinator for the Donegal Rose so it was nice to be there to support the Donegal Rose Chloe Kennedy from Donegal Town.

The crowds gathered at the foyer of the Rose Hotel before making their way to the Dome for a five course gala dinner joining the Roses from all over the world. The night was a spectacular one, they went all out for their 60th jubilee with over 1,300 guests.

Dressed by Tokyo Boutique, Chloe Kennedy and all the Roses made a grand entrance into the Dome with their escorts. They joined everyone for a night of fabulous entertainment. We also met Ciaran Cannon from Letterkenny who was escorting the Ohio Rose.

All the Roses from 1959 were all brought together for a night to remember. It was time to make the long journey home at 11.30 pm and we arrived back in Donegal Town at 3.30am.

Although we went up and down in the same day, we had a great laugh stopping off in Adare for an hour or two to check out the lovely shops, just as well they were closed on the way back, otherwise we would never have got home!! Thanks Elaine for a lovely day and night out in Tralee.

Wishing Chloe all the best on RTE on either Monday or Tuesday night next week.
