Christmas got well and truly underway last night at Donegal’s 5 star Lough Eske Castle Hotel. Over 250 guests attended the sold out party night in the magnificent ballroom decorated in Black and Gold beautifully dressed by Simply Divine Weddings.
The style and atmosphere was second to none. The Management staff deserve great credit for serving a beautiful dinner with 3 choices of main courses, Sea Bass, Turkey and Ham and Beef.
There was some very special birthdays celebrated last night. Rosie Boyle the Style Queen from Pure Boutique looked very glam in her long Pure Boutique dress, she was joined by her family and friends who travelled from near and far. For her 50th birthday present I got her the cake made by Kerry O Donnell from The Cake Fairy in Kilmacrennan who did a magnificent job, it was decorated with Rose gold icing and red fresh roses, I’m dying to try some of it Rosie!!
Another special birthday was Noeleen Stewart who celebrated her 60th birthday, she was joined by hubby Robert, her sister Nellie and hubby Amo who travelled from London to join in on the celebrations. I also want to wish another style queen a very happy 40th and that is Genevieve Robb who is looking fab at 40, she told me she’s going to celebrate for the rest of the year!!
It was great to see Declan Gallagher from RTE there with his wife Caroline, Declan was the camera man for RTE when they filmed me for 6 months almost 3 years ago. He has now moved back to his native Kilcar with his wife and family.
There was so many parties from different places of employment having a great night getting into the festive spirit. The Twin Towns was well represented with staff from St. Mary’s NS, Ballybofey & Stranorlar Women’s Group, staff from Sessiaghoneill NS. The ladies from LYIT, St. Riaghan’s NS, Glenties and Killian NS Inver. They all danced the night away to festive songs from ‘Hard 2 Beat’ band.
Finally a special word of thanks to my favourite cousin Sinead McGowan, Sales & Marketing Manager who put the night together and was on duty to make sure the night ran smoothly. To Donal Cox, the GM and all the staff who worked so attentively and professionally, well done to one and all.
